The Lowlands Wedding Venue

Kalia reached out to me just three months before her wedding with a clear vision—she wanted to capture every special moment of the day, and that’s exactly what we did. The wedding took place at Lowlands, a beautiful venue in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in October. Although the weather was chilly, the wind made it feel even colder. We originally planned to take the formal and wedding party photos on Raspberry Island, just a 2-minute drive from the venue, but with the strong wind, we decided it wasn’t worth risking flyaway hair in the photos. Instead, we quickly took some outdoor shots of the whole party before moving inside to keep everyone warm.

Later, as the sun began to set and the wind calmed down, we managed to grab some great shots on the bridge, capturing a variety of beautiful moments. The wedding day itself was relaxed and full of joy, and they ended the night dancing the evening away.
